3 possibilities to replace your old lighting
Remastering
The metal housing of the existing luminaire will be retained. All the technical components will be removed and replaced by a new LED luminaire.
Benefits
+ All the benefits of relighting, plus more:

+ Greater circularity thanks to the use of replaceable components and the reuse of parts of the existing luminaire
+ Limited installation costs because the new luminaire is adapted to the existing situation.
Disadvantages
- Not suitable for splash-proof luminaires
Relighting
The entire luminaire will be replaced by a new one. Nothing will be left of the existing luminaire.

Relamping
The luminaire will be retained. The fluorescent tube will be replaced by an LED tube.
Advantages
+ Minimum investment cost
Disadvantages
- More risks (current luminaire in poor condition, incompatible ballast, etc.)
- Lower quality lighting
- Overheating of LED tubes
- Limitations (e.g. inability to dim)
Beware of LED tubes in T5 or T8 fixtures!
LED technology works differently to fluorescent tubes. It is therefore not possible to simply replace a T5 or T8 lamp with an LED tube because of the risk of short-circuit, fire or electrocution. LED tubes often flicker and do not provide the required level of illumination if they are not placed in an appropriate fixture.
