Equans' history in Belgium
Equans' history in Belgium
Proud of its past and of the expertise it built up under the historic names such as Fabricom and Axima, today Equans BeLux brings together 9,000 employees under a single brand.
Our history dates back to the aftermath of World War II. At that time, we were no more than a handful of employees manufacturing electrical equipment in a workshop in Mechelen.
Over the decades, through acquisitions and new customers, our company has continued to evolve into the international brand it is today.
The benchmark in multi-technical installations and maintenance services
On the market for more than 70 years through its historic local brands, Equans Belux is the promise of a single point of contact and a combination of personalised solutions and services that optimise the operational and energy performance of industries, buildings, transport infrastructures and distribution networks.
With our 10,000 experts, we cover a wide range of complementary skills: electrical, mechanical and electromechanical engineering, HVAC and air treatment, safety and fire protection, maintenance, cooling systems, energy optimisation, equipment digitalisation, etc.
Capable of intervening throughout the entire life cycle of installations, we offer à la carte or all-in-one solutions to support our customers in their energy, digital or industrial transitions.
Equans BeLux is part of the Equans Group, a world leader in multi-technical services. In Belgium and Luxembourg, we have 60 locations and generate annual sales of 1.9 billion euros.
Why "Equans"?
Through its historic local brands, Equans has always worked alongside cities and industries to integrate major changes: population growth, urbanisation, industrial revolutions, environmental protection, etc.
Given the magnitude of today's ecological, economic and technological challenges, the time has come to rethink our service offering in order to provide each market segment with an appropriate response ["ANSwer"] to the global challenges ahead ["EQUations"].
Equans was born out of this desire to provide specialised expertise in each sector to support our clients in their transitions. This is our mission, our inspiration and our motivation.
