Aiming for sustainable performance
At Equans, we see our environmental and social challenges as an integral part of our overall performance. By embracing the energy, digital and industrial transitions, we aim to make a significant contribution to all our stakeholders: customers, employees, partners, local communities, etc. This contribution is formalized in a manifesto that sets out our global objectives in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Called IMPACT, it guides us in implementing a sustainable, innovative and responsible strategy.

CO₂ Performance ladder
In order to materialize its CSR commitments, the Equans Group has set itself the target of reducing its carbon emissions by 42% on scopes 1 and 2* and by 52% on scope 3** (in intensity) by 2030. To report on its decarbonization progress, Equans Belux has decided to deploy the CO₂ Performance Scale within its organization.
*Scope 1&2: construction site electricity, machinery fuel, office energy consumption, vehicle fleet, etc.
**Scope 3 (upstream of the value chain): goods and services purchased, waste generated by our activities, business travel, etc.

At Equans, we integrate environmental concerns into everything we do. By boosting decarbonation, optimizing the use of resources and protecting biodiversity, our company aims to do its part for sustainable development. Together with our partners and customers, we strive to prevent pollution and waste, while constantly seeking to improve our working methods. This approach applies to the entire value chain of our projects.
- CO₂ and energy: to achieve a world without CO₂ emissions, our aim is to consume less, better and greener. This includes our own activities and those of our customers and supplier partners.
- Circular economy: we aspire to promote a circular economy by taking a conscious and responsible approach to the use of raw materials. This involves our commitment to reducing waste, recycling and reusing materials to extend their life cycle. Our aim is to create a system where resources are used efficiently, helping to minimize our environmental impact while promoting the long-term sustainability of our operations.
- Biodiversity: we are committed to restoring and protecting biodiversity at all our sites. To this end, we implement action plans that support and enrich local ecosystems.
